Scholarships

Scholarship submissions are being accepted now through January 01, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Winners will be announced on January 31, 2026. The scholarship checks will be awarded in 2026. 

By submitting an entry to the essay and/or art contests, you authorize the Greater Atlanta HBCU College Fair to use your submission for future marketing and promotions. All entrants must be free of any copyright or ethical violations (e.g. plagiarism, AI, etc.). Any content discovered to be submitted without the appropriate citation(s) will be automatically disqualified from the respective contests.

Greater Atlanta HBCU College Fair Essay Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Must be a High School Senior

  • Must be attending an HBCU in Fall 2025
  • Must provide proof of enrollment later

  • No GPA requirement

  • Must be a Georgia resident

  • Must attend the 8th Annual Greater Atlanta HBCU College Fair

 

Awards:

  • 🏅 Senior 1 Scholarship — $1,000

  • 🏅 Senior 2 Scholarship — $500

Note: If a scholarship winner does not enroll in an HBCU, the award will be offered to the next eligible student.

 

Greater Atlanta HBCU College Fair Art Scholarship - $500.00

Eligibility:

  • Open to all high school students
  • No GPA requirement
  • Must be a resident of Georgia
  • The student does not need to have plans to attend an HBCU after graduation
  • Must attend the 8th Annual Greater Atlanta HBCU College Fair

Create your artwork as a drawing, painting, or mixed media. Your work will be judged on the following:
          ● How Well It Fits into the Competition Question (20 Points)
          ● Creativity (20 Points)
          ● Visual Features (20 Points)
          ● Message and Content (20 Points)
          ● Expression of Emotion (20 Points)

The Art Competition will be judged by members of the Greater Atlanta HBCU College Fair Leadership Team.
